🖨 Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted? If you predicted anything.
before this year, i hadn't written any fic since...2017 lol. i didn’t really expect myself to ever write fic again but here i am! :D even aside from fic, in the past few years, i haven’t written much of anything. so, i definitely wrote more than i expected!

🖨 What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted at the start of the year? Did you get into a new pairing/genre/fandom?
well, all of them tbh. but more specifically, dreamcatcher!!!! this is the first (1st) time i've ever written for a girl group. also… taekwoon??? thank you isa for helping me w him, ily!

genre-wise… i wrote an android au??? fluff??? and space porn??? i wrote porn???

🖨 What’s your own favourite story of the year?
i think i want to woo(hoo) you or violet. these were both so fun and so self indulgent.

🖨 Did you take any writing risks this year?
i joined soooooooo many fic fests. putting my wee, little brain up against a deadline (or more than one at the same time) was a Challenge.

🖨 Biggest source of inspiration this year?
friends!! i love you ♡
but also, sookai being sookai (i mean, c'mon. look at them)




🖨 Is there a character you've really enjoyed writing this year?
*takes a deep breath* CHOI SOOBIN. out of the 24 fics i wrote this year he was in 12 of them... (maybe i think he should just kiss everyone??????)

🍃 Do you have any general writing goals for the new year?
cries. i don’t want to experience burnout next year and i want to be nicer to myself about things (bc, unfortunately, they don't always go according to plan! and that's okay!) i don’t want to stop writing, either. i had a dry spell for years and i really don’t want that to happen again! i enjoy it so much ]:

on top of that, i would love to write for more groups i’ve already written for or haven’t yet! (yes, seventeen i’m looking at you! mingyu, prepare yourself :D)

❄ My best story (or scene!) of this year:
a place you can come to, a place i can go to (but also: the taste of ash series)
i think i'm most proud of these three fics!

❄ My most popular story of this year:
hits wise, the almost-porn yeonbin fic — strike a pose. i mean, as expected, it’s the most popular txt ship combined with porn lol

❄ Longest story of the year:
every step you take, 25307w. at the beginning, this fic was meant to be strictly pwp. but then it grew legs and ran. i had no other option but to chase after it!

❄ Shortest story of the year:
I’M SO PROUD OF THIS, ACTUALLY. i slayed long fic disease!!!!
my first sookai fic, bloom, 1745w.
but also wrap me up, pull me in (which was only 100 words longer, but deserves a mention here somewhere bc it’s very dear to me!)

❄ Most fun story to write:
do you ever daydream about two boys (sookai) at the beach, who are both eyeing the hot lifeguard (yeonjun) and then, boyfriend a (kai), decides to deep-throat his popsicle to get the lifeguard’s attention? well, i did! and it was so fun to write: violet

❄ Story that needed the most research:
surprisingly, double stuffed. but that’s mostly because i did extensive research about how to mold a dildo. thanks, clone-a-willy!

🔥 Story with the single sexiest moment:
ahem. probably the road head in red light, green light.
or some of the deleted seonghwa/taekwoon scenes from every step you take

🍩 Story with the single cutest/sweetest moment:
two six-foot-something boys trying to fit in a loveseat! bloom + the bubble bath scene in every step you take

😶 Most “holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story:
the entire taste of ash series. i wrote about two lovely boys suffering in an apocalypse. people DIED. i made people die. whoops!

❄ Hardest story to write:
a place you can come to, a place i can go to, hands down. i almost dropped out on one too many occasions. after i finished it, i felt ready to lie down in a coffin. but i did it and i’m proud of it.

❄ Biggest disappointment:
other then experiencing burnout starting a lot of things and then not finishing them! my wip dungeon is getting dusty! there are dust bunnies there jumping aorund! but hopefully i can pick some of them back up... eventually. + dropping out of a fest (or two?)

❄ Biggest surprise:
writing again!!! and for so many different fandoms!!! exo-l 2017 me would be so surprised

❄ Most unintentionally telling story:
twinkle, twinkle little star is actually based on something that happened to me irl lol. however, i did not live happily ever after with a kai.
also, there were a lot of Personal Feelings put into the taste of ash series.

Soobin reaches out for Beomgyu in his dreams and realizes then, that Beomgyu is the only thing he feels resembles home. He doesn’t need four walls when Beomgyu has two sturdy arms and the softest fingertips Soobin’s ever come to touch. He doesn’t need a roof atop his head when Beomgyu’s soft words make the rainclouds storming in his skull come to a post-storm calm. He doesn’t need a door that locks thrice when Beomgyu keeps him safe

✿ Looking back at 2022: ✿
i did more than i thought i would and i'm proud of myself for that! i've met so many amazing people too who have helped me and cheered me on and are the reason's i finished all that i did. however, i'm tired lol. 

✿ Fic-writing goals for 2023: ✿
HAVE!! FUN!! i want to keep writing as much as i have, but i don't want to tire myself out by writing Too Many Things at once. i think by september i wasn't having...as much fun as i was at the beginning of the year (which was entirely my fault, ofc) but at least now i know what i can + can't handle! and i'm still proud of myself for pushing through and finishing most things. 

i want to write for svt/dc/skz more and i want to finish all of the secret series i have sitting in my wip dungeon!
